I got a spare upper plenum cause mine got a little damaged in my accident and I figured it would be a good opportunity to learn how to polish before I install it. After some searching I found I needed some sandpaper, polishing compound, polishing cloth, a shitload of patience and maybe a dremel. Now, I have the patience and the cloth. I went out today and bought 80,120,220,320,400,600,800,1500 grit sandpapers and some Mothers mag and aluminum polish. Now here's the things I'm not too clear about. Some ppl say that this should be done by hand cause a dremel will leave burn marks. How true is that. I have a dremel; should I just use it for the 80 and 120 grits and do the rest by hand? or the whole thing by hand. And how should I go about removing the casting lines? and secondly: I keep hearing about this White Rouge stuff. How much better is it than the Mothers? Is it even the same type of product or am I comparing apples to oranges here. Thanks
